Prerequisites for taking snapshots

Access, via Ssh or remoting, to the target host. The connection details and transport plugin used to take the snapshot will be the one specified on the environments parent server.

Initial configuration

1. Log into the framework server. Go to Go to Infrastructure. Select the installation to snapshot and click the "Edit" button, or, if not present, create a new one.
2. On the Environment Product tab, select the JBoss plugin from the dropdown list. If not present in the list, ensure the plugin is installed.
3. Ensure the prerequisites are met and complete the fields with the required data
4. Save the configuration
5. Run the test connection by using the "Test Connection" button.

Taking a snapshot

1. Log into the framework server. Go to Go to Infrastructure. Select the installation to snapshot and click the "View" button
2. On the "General" tab, click the "Snapshot" button.
3. The snapshot is initiated as a job. Go to the executing jobs panel to follow the progress of this snapshot.
