Issues when using the Internet Explorer browser
Screen issues such as "greyed out" buttons and inconsistent displays
You mght see inconsistent screen displays and greyed out buttons when running the MidVision GUI through Internet Explorer.
Turn off compatibility view in the IE browser to rectify this issue.
Compatibility view is greyed out by default but actually turned on. If you press "alt" for menu bar then "tools" and then "compatibility view" - compatability view settings and deselect the checkboxes within the pop-up then compatibility view is no longer greyed out and you no longer see this issue.
Downloading any file using an SSL connection
This issue was detected on downloading generated PDF basic report and job logs.
When using IE8/9 to get any type of file, the browser is unable to download them over SSL.
If you set the IE Advanced options "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" to true, then the download of any file is successful.
You will either need to not use SSL, Not download any file or not use IE8/9, or set the checkbox as described. Otherwise - this is an IE/SSL/download limitation.
